Motorcycle Collision

Two motorcyclists were traveling around a tight turn and down a hill on a twisty section of roadway. As the first rider entered into the turn he observed an oncoming vehicle traveling over the centerline.

The first rider stood the motorcycle up and applied the front brake. The motorcycle struck the guardrail and the rider was launched over the guardrail and down the hillside. The second rider observed the first rider’s reaction, applied the brakes and laid the motorcycle onto its side. The motorcycle and rider both slid into the guardrail.
